Kylian Mbappe 25 has no problems with manager Luis Enrique

Kylian Mbappe 25 has no problems with manager Luis Enrique. The France forward showcased his talent during his first full 90-minute performance since February 14th.

The trip to San Sebastian was seen as a challenging second leg for PSG, especially with Mbappe, who has confirmed his move to Real Madrid this summer, under scrutiny.

Since expressing his desire to leave Parc des Princes, there have been doubts about Enrique’s management of the 25-year-old, with Mbappe often being benched or substituted early in PSG’s last three Ligue 1 matches.

“I always want to play in the Champions League, it is a very important competition. I could never be a player who hides,” Mbappe stated in an interview with Canal Plus on Tuesday.

Regarding his relationship with the coach, Mbappe clarified, “My relationship with the coach is good. There is no problem even if people might think there is. I have many issues but the coach is not one of them.”

When questioned about Mbappe’s recent substitutions, manager Enrique responded to Canal Plus, saying, “Kylian will score 50 goals, make 25 assists with any coach, any team. “Apparently, his immediate future won’t be here so we’ll have to test other solutions.”

Mbappe delivered an outstanding performance, scoring his 27th and 28th goals of the season for Enrique’s team.

In the early stages of the match, the World Cup winner demonstrated his threat by speeding past Hamari Traore to create an opportunity for Bradley Barcola, which was well saved by the home goalkeeper Alex Remiro.

Shortly after, Mbappe opened the scoring with a powerful and precise right-footed shot into the bottom-right corner, after receiving a pass from Ousmane Dembele and evading home defender Igor Zubeldia.

In the second half, Mbappe doubled his tally with a well-taken low shot past Remiro at his near post, after collecting a pass from Lee Kang-in and racing clear down the left.

The goals reflected PSG’s dominance, with Sociedad’s passive approach in the early stages allowing the Parisians to establish a commanding lead on aggregate. Despite a late consolation goal from Mikel Merino, it was too little, too late for the hosts.
