Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE)

Established in 2005, the University of Dar es Salaam comprises the Dar es Salaam University College of Education (DUCE). According to the 2010 Regulations and the Dar es Salaam University College of Education Charter, the College’s main duties are to provide integrated teaching, research, and public services.

Situated in Temeke Municipality, Dar es Salaam Region, the DUCE College is situated on Plots 324 and 325 Block ‘T’ Chang’ombe, close to the recently constructed National Stadium and approximately 5 km away from the City Center via Kilwa Road.

The total land area of the college is 52.97 acres. Additionally, the College holds 1.17 hectares of land on Plot No. 964/1 Block “V” in Mbagala. Because of its advantageous position close to the city center, the college offers chances for investment in a variety of fields.

Responsibilities:

  • To help with the staffing of display stands (such as those at trade fairs and open-day exhibits);
  • To support the organization of ceremonies, conferences, seminars, radio and television program production, etc.;
  • To preserve visual documentation of significant occasions;
  • To help with standard marketing and public relations tasks like creating articles for the Institution’s newsletter, doing picture assignments, and managing ads;
  • To notify the appropriate superiors of public grievances and critiques; and
  • To carry out any additional relevant tasks that your supervisor may assign you.

Qualifications:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in any of the following areas: marketing, journalism, or mass communication.
