Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

• For every audit project that has been identified, make sure that comprehensive audit programs based on established procedures and best practices are created, paying particular attention to potential risk areas;
• Create and deliver reports that concisely outline the main conclusions and useful suggestions for enhancements to management and the Board Audit & Risk Committee;
• Organize the execution of internal audit policies, processes, and strategies;
• Conduct branch audits to make sure that activities adhere to the regulations set forth by Britam Tanzania;
• Make the necessary suggestions for enhancements after confirming paperwork and reviewing the current administrative, accounting, and internal control systems. This encompasses the business’s activities and necessitates a comprehensive comprehension of every operation;
• Create and execute manuals for internal audit procedures and policies;

Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required:

Education

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a similar discipline;
• An MBA is an extra benefit.
• Professional certification, such as CPA (T), ACCA, CISA, CFA, or a comparable designation
• 7–10 years of experience in a comparable role, with at least 4–5 of those years spent in a hectic managerial setting.

Technical/functional competencies

• Understanding the internal auditing process
• Writing reports and being able to create them
• Decision-making: the capacity to swiftly and efficiently reach strategic decisions
• High ethical and moral status
• Extremely driven.
