These fields are available through the faculties of Accounting & Informatics, Applied Sciences, Arts & Design, Engineering & the Built Environment, Health Sciences, and Management Sciences.

  • The deadline for sending acceptance notifications is May 30. You will receive news much faster if you have provided an email address.
  • After then, you must make plans to pay the remaining payments by June 4th
  • Please contact international@dut.ac.za with a scanned copy of your payment receipt.
  • Citizens of the United States must get a travel visa in order to enter South Africa.

How to Apply at Durban University of Technology -DUT – 2025

All first-year applications are processed via the Central Applications Office (CAO). This streamlined process enables applicants to apply for multiple programs and at various institutions using a single application form and paying a unified application fee. Follow the straightforward steps below to apply to DUT through CAO for the 2025 intake:

Step 1: Go to the CAO website: www.cao.ac.za.

Step 2: Click to the “apply” tab.

Step 3: Review the provided information and proceed by clicking on the “continue with application” tab.

Step 4: Enter your ID number or your CAO number, then submit.

Step 5: Click on the “continue with application” tab.

Step 6: Provide all the requested information. Once completed, click ‘Next’.

Step 7: A pop-up window will display your CAO Number, Password, and EasyPay Number.

Step 8: Proceed by clicking ‘Continue with Online Application’.

Step 9: Input your next of kin details.

Step 10: Enter your grade 11 or grade 12 results.

Step 11: Select the courses you wish to apply for (you can select up to 6 choices).

Step 12: Review the information displayed in the Summary of your application.

Step 13: Click the ‘Process My Application’ button located at the end of the page.

Your application has now been successfully submitted.

A message will be displayed on screen informing you that your submission has been successful

Step 14: You have the option to upload your supporting documents and make your application fee payment online, or you can choose to pay at an EasyPay Outlet.

The administration fee is as follows: R250.00 for South African citizens and R300.00 for international applicants.

After your administration fee has been successfully received, your application will be processed and made available to the institutions you have applied to.
