The Minister of State for the Office of the President for Public Service and Good Governance, George Simbachawene, has announced that President Samia Suluhu Hassan has granted permission for the recruitment of 46,000 new employees across various sectors.
Approval has been granted for 12,000 teaching positions for the 2024/2025 academic year.
Of the 46,000 jobs approved, a significant number have been earmarked for teaching positions. In particular, 12,000 new teaching roles have been created with the aim of strengthening the education sector and addressing the shortage of mathematics and science teachers.
This initiative, designated as ‘Ajira za Walimu 2024/2025’, is designed to enhance the quality of education and pave the way for a brighter future for the nation’s youth.
