NOTICE: Update of Job Applicant Information in the Education Sector
The Office of the President, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, would like to inform all those who applied for teaching positions in different regions that they have been given three days, from September 14th to 16th, 2024, to update their information regarding the region they applied to work in through the Ajira Portal system, in case it appears differently from the region they intended to choose.
Additionally, applicants must ensure that the region listed in the “Employer” section is the one they applied for. If it is different, they should change it in the system, as this section will determine the interview venue and, eventually, the job assignment.
The Secretariat has responded to the requests of applicants and is offering these three days for updates. This issue arose during the application process, where many applicants had their information filled out by relatives, friends, or even staff at stationery services, without reviewing the accuracy of the entered data.
Due to this challenge, the office urges job seekers to be careful when filling out their details in the Ajira Portal system and to verify their information to avoid inconvenience. To successfully update your details in the Ajira Portal system, follow these steps:
- Go to the “My APPLICATIONS” section of your Ajira Portal account and click on it.
- Select the “SELECT EMPLOYER” section and choose the region where you would like to work.
- You will then see a message that reads, “EMPLOYER CONFIRMED SUCCESSFULLY.” This means that you have successfully updated and selected the region where you want to work.
After completing these steps, you will be able to see the chosen region in your account, which will determine the assignment of your job posting after successfully passing the interview.
Additionally, applicants are required to update their information in the “Current address” section, specifically in the fields “current resident region” and “current resident district.” The information in these fields will be used to assign the location for the Written Test/Screening (Aptitude Test).
The Office of the President, Public Service Recruitment Secretariat, will continue to fulfill its duties in accordance with laws, regulations, and procedures while also listening to and addressing various suggestions from stakeholders to further improve the recruitment process.
