JOB DESCRIPTION.
As a Transport Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of the company’s transportation operations. Your responsibilities will span strategic market management, meticulous truck fleet oversight, proactive office team management, and responsive customer and supplier interactions. The successful candidate will demonstrate mastery of the Tanzania, Kenya, and Zambia transportation markets, with a specific focus on key locations within these regions.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES.
• Transport Marketing Management and Exploitation:
Conduct thorough investigations of the Tanzania and Zambia transportation markets.
Establish and maintain partnerships with low-rate/high-qualification transporters to enhance the company’s low-cost cooperation.
• Truck Fleet Management:
Oversee drivers’ management, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Monitor fuel consumption, maintenance, and repair costs.
Compile and manage daily reports related to fleet operations.
• Office Team Management:
Foster effective communication within the office team.
Resolve requests and challenges from various departments.
Organize weekly meetings to identify, summarize, and address risks, challenges, and solutions from the payment team, dispatching team, and truck fleet team. • Customer and Supplier Interaction:
Address customer and supplier requests and complaints promptly.
Proactively report and suggest improvements to top management.

 

 

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION:
• Bachelor’s degree in any related field
• Mastery of the Tanzania and Kenya domestic transportation markets, with a focus on Mwanza, Arusha, and Nairobi.
• Proficiency in logistics market investigation.
• Experience in truck team management, with in-depth knowledge of key factors in the field.
• Disciplined and highly executive.
• Rich experience in fleet management, leveraging social fleet resources.
