Job title: Accountants (2 positions)
Location: Dar es salaam

Purpose of the position 

Doing the company’s routine accounting activities in order to assist the finance department, head of accounts, and management.

Qualification and Experience 

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting or a similar discipline
  • Three years of financial and taxation experience
  • No older than forty-five
  • Proficiency in writing and speaking English
  • Computer literacy, including mastery of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other programs
  • Having extensive IT skills will be beneficial.
  • Strong communication abilities.

Job description 

  • Payroll, financial statements, and other financial reports should be prepared and reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting standards.
  • Enroll new hires in NSSF benefits. Additionally, prepare the WCF, NSSF, TRA, and other statutory returns each month.
  • Maintain track of creditors and debtors and make sure that financial documents and accounts are accurate and full.
  • Maintain financial records, compute provisional taxes, make any necessary revisions, and support audits.
  • Make sure that the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closes are precise and on schedule.
  • To help guide decisions, conduct a financial study of the business’s activities.
  • provide, update, and evaluate budgets; provide management reports on a regular basis that show differences between budgeted and actual expenses.
  • Examine the company’s billable and non-chargeable hours on a monthly basis.
