Job Details

To help prepare study paperwork, teach staff on protocols, facilitate sample collection, and manage the procurement and distribution of research materials in Kagera, the Ifakara Health Institute is seeking a Clinical Officer. In addition, this position entails overseeing the gathering of field data, making sure that records are accurate, and keeping stakeholders informed.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing study documents.
  • Train staff on protocols.
  • Facilitate sample collection.
  • Support procurement and distribution of research materials.
  • Supervise field data collection.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of samples and materials.
  • Oversee timely delivery to the laboratory.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to study reports and manuscripts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Clinical Medicine
  • Experience in data and sample collection in health facilities and communities
  • Experience in supportive supervision of health facility staff and study teams
  • Experience with the MSMT2 project
