135 Vacancies Open at Dar es Salaam City Council job opportunity. The City of Dar es Salaam’s Director invites all competent Tanzanians to apply for the following positions:
South of the Equator and to the west, south, and north, the city of Dar es Salaam is situated between latitudes 6 and 7 degrees south and longitudes 39.45 degrees east and 39 degrees west. The city is bounded to the west by the Coast Region and to the east by the Indian Ocean. The coastline of the Indian Ocean stretches 124 kilometers, from Pemba Mnazi to Mbweni.
Over 1,800 square kilometers make up the city of Dar es Salaam; 1,350 of those square kilometers are on land, including eight islands in the Indian Ocean, and 450 square kilometers are in water.
Open Positions and Description
1. Market Tax Collectors – 95 Positions
Qualifications:
- A Form Four graduate is required.
- Must hold a business administration or accounting certificate or diploma from an accredited school.
Responsibilities:
- obtaining market tax revenue.
- carrying out additional tasks that the supervisor assigns.
General Requirements:
- Has to be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Need to have a current Form Four certificate. Please take note: “Results Slips” are not acceptable.
- A birth certificate is required.
- Between the ages of 18 and 45.
- The position is for a period of six months.
- The daily salary is TSH 7,000, with a monthly total of TSH 210,000.

Qualifications:

- Cleaning tasks in the fish market in Feri.
- Additional duties as delegated by the manager.
General Requirements
- Must to be a citizen of Tanzania.
- Must possess a certificate of secondary education from Form Four completion. “Results Slip” is not deemed appropriate.
- A birth certificate is required.
- Must be in the age range of 18 to 45.
- Applicants who have been rejected in the past due to resignation or problems with certificate verification are not allowed to apply.
- The first job will have a three-month term.
- A remuneration of Tshs. 10,000/= each day, or Tshs. 300,000/= per month, will be paid by the employer.
