Vacancies at Judicial Service Commission. The establishment of the Judicial Service Commission is in accordance with Article 112 (1) of the 1977 Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania, along with the Judicial Conduct Act No. 4 of 2011.

As per Article 15 of the Court Operation Law No. 15 (1) of 2011, the Chief Executive of the Court serves as the Secretary of the Commission and executes its decisions.

Prior to the enactment of the Law on Court Service No. 2 of 2005, and subsequently the Court Operation Law No. 4 of 2011, there were two separate commissions responsible for court employees: the Court Service Commission,

handling Resident Magistrates and District Magistrates, and a special Court Service Commission dealing with Judges of Courts of First Instance.

The members of these commissions were specified in the Constitution and the Court Service Law of respective years. Presently,

all service matters for court employees are overseen by the Court Service Commission, whose members and responsibilities are outlined in the Constitution of the United Republic of Tanzania.
