Minister of Education, Science and Technology Prof. Adolf Mkenda, today (Monday, May 27th, 2024) has launched the guidelines for issuance of loans and grants for the academic year 2024/2025 and reminded students to study hard to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the government through loans and grants.
HESLB Diploma Loan Application 2024/25 (Guideline, Criteria, Register and Login)
Students are advised to read the ‘Guide for the Allocation of Education Loans for Diploma Students for the year 2023-2024 (SECOND EDITION)’ available at www.heslb.go.tz and www.nactvet.go.tz to understand the priority courses and the application process.

Diploma students who were admitted earlier and had not had the opportunity to apply for loans are also allowed to apply, considering the criteria outlined in the guide.
IMPORTANT: Applicants are strongly advised to adhere to the application period (March 1 – 22, 2024) as it will not be extended to allow for the analysis and allocation of loans to eligible candidates.
HESLB Diploma Loan Application 2024
The Higher Education Students’ Loans Board (HESLB) has announced the availability of the Diploma Loan Application for the 2024/25 academic year. This loan is a crucial source of financial aid for students pursuing diploma-level programs in Tanzania.\
The launched guidelines are for ‘Samia Grants for the year 2024-2025’; ‘Guidelines for Issuance of Loans to Bachelor Degree Students for 2024-2025’; ‘Guidelines for Issuance of Loans to Diploma Students for 2024-2025’; ‘Guidelines for Issuance of Loans to Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice for 2024-2025’ and ‘Guidelines for Issuance of Loans to Students admitted to pursue Masters and PhD Studies for 2024-2025’.
To apply for the HESLB Diploma Loan, eligible students can log in to the HESLB online application system (OLAMS) using their registered user credentials. The application deadline for the 2024/25 academic year is yet to be announced, so prospective applicants are advised to regularly check the HESLB website or the SIPA login portal for updates.
Those who have previously received HESLB loans can also access their accounts through the DIDIS HESLB login system. It is important for all applicants to submit their loan applications before the designated deadline to ensure timely processing and disbursement of the funds.
